Aquatic Center

The Aquatic Center will open for the season on Saturday, May 29
and will close for the season on Sunday, August 15.

The Leawood Aquatic Center will be open daily 12:00-8:00pm, open to Leawood residents only.  Season pool passes and daily admission will be available for purchase online.  Walk up registration will not be permitted this season.

Season Passes must be purchased online no later than 8:00am on the day you wish to visit the Aquatic Center.

Daily Admission must be purchased online no later than 15 minutes prior to when you wish to visit the Aquatic Center.

If  you do not have an account in our system, you will need to submit your household for approval a minimum of 72 hours prior to your visit at the Aquatic Center.  Please be sure to include all members of your household on your household account during set up.  If household members are not on your account, they will not be able to visit the Aquatic Center.

  • Do I need to be a Leawood Resident to swim at the Aquatic Center this summer?
    • Yes, due to the reduced capacity, only Leawood Residents will be eligible to swim at the Aquatic Center.
  • How much does it cost for a daily admission to the Aquatic Center?
    • Each admission is $6 per person (ages 12 months and up) and is due at the time of registration
  • Do I need to register in advance for a daily admission?
    • Yes, all registrations must be completed online at least 15 minutes in advance
    • Walk-up registration will not be permitted.
  • Will season passes be available?
    • Yes, pool passes are available for purchase online only.  Pool passes will not be available for purchase at the Aquatic Center.
    • You must purchase your pool bass by 8:00am of the morning you wish to visit the pool.
  • Will I be able to bring a guest who does not live in my household?
    • Only a Grandparent, Grandchild or one babysitter / nanny associated with a Leawood resident can be added to a resident’s household to access the Aquatic Center.
  • May I bring a pool noodle or small raft into the pool?
    • Yes
  • Will life jackets be available for use?
    • Yes, life jackets will be available for check-out.
  • What if I do not have a household account?
    • You must set up your household account at for approval at least 72 hours prior to your desired date to visit the pool.
    • Add all family members in your household at the time of set-up.  Any family members over the age of 18 or the addition of family members to your household account will require proof of residency for each family member.
  • What if I purchase a daily admission but do not show up?
    • No refunds will be given in this situation
  • What if a resident family member does not purchase a daily admission or a season pass?
    • They will not be allowed admission to the Aquatic Center.
  • What if it rains?
    • If the pool closes for inclement weather prior to the start of your arrival, you will have the option to transfer to another date.  Refunds will not be given.
  • Will deck chairs be available?
    • Yes, limited seating will be available.  Chairs will be grouped into pods of 2 & 4 chairs.
  • May my child go to the pool without an adult?
    • Children must be at least 13 years of age to go to the pool without an adult.
  • Even though I am not planning on swimming, do I still need to purchase a season pass or daily admission?
    • Yes, all guests must purchase a season pass or daily admission to enter the facility.
  • Will concessions be available?
    • Yes, the concession stand will be open and selling only pre-packaged drinks and snacks.  You may bring in your own food and drink.  Alcohol and glass containers are prohibited.

2021 Aquatic Center Season Passes

The Leawood Aquatic Center offers individual pool passes to all patrons ages 12 months and up.
Children under 12 months are FREE.
Senior rates will apply to individuals 60+ years.

Pool Passes are available for purchase and only available to Leawood Residents this season

Please purchase your pool pass no later than 8:00am on the day you wish to visit the pool

All pool passes purchased prior to Monday, May 24 will be mailed to your home.
All pool passes purchased after May 24 will be available for pick up at the Aquatic Center starting May 29 at noon.

Each member of our family will need an individual pool pass for the summer.  Your individual pool pass is a scannable ID fob and requires a photo that is updated yearly.

Photos can be taken at the Leawood Aquatic Center.  Keychain wristbands are available for $2.  A replacement ID key fob is $5.

Pool passes are non-transferrable.  A guest attempting to use a pass that is not assigned to them will result in the forfeiture of the season pool pass without a refund.

Swim Lessons are 30 minutes in duration and meet Monday-Thursday for two consecutive weeks.
Dive Lessons are 45 minutes in duration and meet Monday-Thursday for one week

2021 Swim & Dive Team Registration Schedule 

Thursday, April 1 – Leawood Residents Only
Thursday, April 8 – Non-Residents (Past Participants)

*All participants wishing to register online MUST call the Parks & Recreation Department at (913) 663-9154 to retrieve your Username and Password (if you have not done so already) PRIOR to March 26th. You will need this information in order to register online.

All Swim & Dive Team participants must be six years old by June 1, 2021. All Competitive Swim Team participants must be able to swim 50 meters unassisted and without stopping to rest. All Pre Competitive Swim Team Participants must be able to swim 25 yards unassisted and without stopping to rest. Please be certain your child is comfortable in the water and can accomplish the required skills. The 50 yards should be completed “with ease”.

Swim practice begins on Tuesday, May 28 and meets will start Tuesday, June 1. Practices are 7:30 – 8:45am (10 & older), 8:45 – 10:00am ( 8 & 9 years) or 10:15-11:15am ( 9 & Under/pre competitive) Monday through Friday. Meets are held on Thursday evenings, and some of the younger swimmers may be placed on the Pre Competitive team which will participate in Saturday morning meets.

Dive Team 
Dive practice begins on Tuesday, June 1 and meets will start the week of June 10. Practices are 8:45 – 10:00am or 10:15-11:30am Monday through Friday. Meets are held on Tuesday evenings.
