Bike/Walk Leawood

Bike/Walk Leawood strives to design and implement safe walk/bike routes throughout the city. On October 6, 2010, the committee presented the first International Safe Walk/ Ride to School event at Corinth Elementary, Mission Trail, and Cure of Ars Elementary schools. Participation certificates were awarded to over 400 students for walking or riding to school that day! The BFC’s coordinated efforts with Revolve KC, Leawood Planning, Leawood Police, Leawood Parks and Recreation departments, encourages citizens to walk and ride to schools, churches, and commercial areas using safer routes.
