2009 Swim Team Registration Schedule

WEB REGISTRATION IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR THIS PROGRAM!

Participants may choose to register online, or register in person at Leawood City Hall (4800 Town Center Drive). Designated days and times will still apply for residents and non-residents.

Online registration information:

*All participants wishing to register online MUST call the Parks & Recreation Department at (913) 339-6700 ext. 154 to retrieve your Username and Password (if you have not done so already) NO LATER THAN THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 26, 2009. You will need this information in order to register online.

Username and password information will not be available on March 2, 9 or 11.

*You will register by signing up for your practice time, which will hold your spot for 72 hours. You must come to Leawood City Hall to pay, fill out paperwork, and sign up for meet volunteer times within that 72 hours or you will lose your place.

*Sanctioning forms will be available to print with your receipt. A PARENT/GUARDIAN must sign all forms.

Swim Team participation requirements

All Swim Team participants must be six years old by June 1, 2009. All Swim Team participants must be able to swim 50 yards (2 lengths of the pool) unassisted and without stopping to rest.

Please be certain your child is comfortable in the water and can accomplish the required skills. The 50 yards should be completed "with ease".

Swim Team Information

10 & Under (ages 6 to 10 years)
Swim practice begins on Monday, June 1 and meets will start the week of June 8. Practices are 8:45-10:00am or 10:15-11:30am Monday through Friday. Meets are held on Tuesday evenings, and some of the younger swimmers may be placed on the Junior Novice team which will participate in intra-squad meets on Monday evenings.

Cost: Resident $130/Non-Resident $140
Max: 120 participants

11 & Older (ages 11 to 18 years)
Swim practice begins on Monday, June 1 and meets will start the week of June 8. Practices are 7:00-8:30am Monday through Friday. Meets are held on Thursday evenings.

Cost: Residents $130/Non-Resident $140.
