A
variety of shelters are located within the City's
park & trail system and are available for
use by the public. The shelters are rented in 5-hour time blocks; 10:00am-3:00pm or 4:00-9:00pm. You may reserve a shelter for the entire day by requesting both time blocks. |

Shelter at Tomahawk Park - 119th & Tomahawk Creek Parkway
This shelter is located near the playground in Tomahawk Park. This shelter is not available for reservation and is used on a first come first serve basis.
General Rules & Regulations:
- Shelters may be reserved after January 2nd of the given year.
- Shelters must be rented at least one week prior to date requested.
- Persons requesting this reservation will be held responsible for the destruction of property. Use, consumption, or possession of any alcoholic beverage is prohibited in all City parks. Sec. 11-211 City Ordinance.
- Full payment is due at request.
- Permits are not valid until signed and returned to the Leawood Parks and Recreation Department. Rental groups have five business days to return signed permit or reservation will be terminated.
- A $5.00 service fee will be charged for all shelter / field rental transfers.
- All scheduled rentals cancelled due to inclement weather can be rescheduled, space permitting. No refunds will be given.
- Rental groups must be in possession of the permit(s) at time of use.
- Rental groups will be responsible for clean-up of facility / field.
