Tim E. Stamm has over 26 years of experience in the fire service and was appointed Fire Training Chief for the City of Leawood Fire Department in May 2004. Training Chief Stamm holds an Associate Degree in Fire Science from Johnson County Community College. He has been a certified EMS Training Officer since 1989, a CPR instructor since 1982, and an AED instructor since 1998. His interest in training started in 1981 when he joined the adjunct staff in the EMT training program at Johnson County Community College. He was also an active instructor and volunteer coordinator for the Ewing Kauffman CPR Save-A-Life Mass Training Program, which trained over 100,000 citizens over a two year period. Before coming to Leawood, Chief Stamm served the City of Merriam for over 25 years, rising to the rank of Captain. He was Merriam's EMS Training Officer for 15 years and was active in fire and EMS training in Merriam and through out Johnson County.

Tim's family is full of history and experience in EMS and firefighting. Tim met his wife Lee Ann, while she was also an instructor in the EMT training program at Johnson County Community College. Lee Ann later became a Paramedic for Johnson County Med-Act and currently works out of the home as a Chiropractor. Tim and Lee Ann's son Tracy and his wife Sandi, live in Colorado and are both certified Wildland Firefighters with the Pinewood Springs Volunteer Fire Department. Their other son Kelly and his wife Laura, live nearby with their children, Katie and Timmy. Kelly currently serves his country as a medic with the Army National Guard. Tim and Lee Ann enjoy country living and raising horses for weekend trail rides.
