Leawood Public Works Department
Fleet Maintenance Division
Vehicle Electrical Technician

tech1One of the positions this division has is that of the "Vehicle Electrical Technician". Our technician, Brian P. has worked for the City in this position for four years. In the four years that Brian has been here, his primary duties have been to build new patrol cars for the Police Department and to assist the Fire Department with any electrical issues or specialized installations that they might have. This position is also responsible for installing and maintaining all of the emergency lighting on every Public Works vehicle in the fleet.

tech2Brian was formerly with a stereo company, where he installed all types of car audio and video equipment. Brian is very good at his craft, so good in fact, that some of his work has been featured on the pages of car stereo publications. Not only is he the "Sultan of Solder", he is highly skilled at working with other mediums, such as wood, fiberglass and body filler. The combination of these skills allows Brian to be able to custom fabricate almost anything that he needs to complete an installation.

Brian has a great attitude towards his job and the City of Leawood and is a tremendous asset to the Fleet Maintenance Division.
