Our mission is to provide the most up to date Planning information, techniques, and ordinances to the Plan Commission and Governing Body, in order, to successfully guide the community's growth and quality of life.

• To maintain the Leawood Development Ordinance with the latest in acceptable land use policies and practices.
• To review the Comprehensive Plan on an annual basis and make amendments for the betterment of the community.
• To handle individual residents' needs related to public hearings, input on projects, and detailed information about their community's development.
• To develop new policies which relate to preservation of our native landscape, pedestrian scale, density, and architecture.
